CURE – Collaborative Urban strategies and capacity Enhancement

TS2 - Insediamenti urbani e metropolitani

Descrizione e obiettivi

CURE aims to build urban ecosystems resilient to multiple risks through participatory approaches that integrate local knowledge and innovative methods. The project is structured into six Work Packages (WPs):

WP1 – Historical Environmental and Risk Profiling (CNR-ISMed):
Analyzes the history of urban environmental policies from 1990 to the present, combining archival research and oral history to reconstruct the culture of risk in urban contexts.

WP2 – Risk Perception among Youth (UNISA):
Examines risk perception among young people in fragile contexts through interviews and intergenerational focus groups. It promotes participatory models and audiovisual practices for community engagement.

WP3 – Socio-economic Inequalities and Risk Management (UNICAL):
Investigates how socio-economic inequalities influence risk perception and response, through analysis of Disaster Risk Management (DRM) policies and interviews with decision-makers.

WP4 – Data Analysis and Proof-of-Concept (ISMed/UNISA/UNICAL):
Integrates collected data to develop a replicable model of participatory urban resilience, validating methodologies across different contexts.

WP5 – Stakeholder Engagement and Territorial Workshops (UNICAL):
Engages local stakeholders in participatory workshops to promote inclusive governance of risk management.

WP6 – Coordination, Communication and Dissemination:
Ensures effective project management and dissemination of results through public events, following Open Science and FAIR Data principles.
