On September 3, 2025, Eurac Research in Bolzano will host the side event of the PNRR RETURN project, “From knowledge to action: knowledge, beliefs, and cooperation for disaster risk reduction and climate change adaptation.”

The event will focus on interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity for climate risk reduction and how to integrate natural and social sciences to address challenges at the intersection of natural and human systems.

The following key topics will be addressed:

– Integration of scientific languages

– Co-designing policies for fragile territories

– Collective decision-making processes

– Public-private cooperation for resilient communities

Two sessions will be held with professors and researchers from Italian academic institutions. The event will conclude with networking and a theatrical performance on the role of scientific research in climate change.

Participation in the event is free, but registration is required by July 18, 2025.
