APPARE – Analysis and Documentation of Flash Floods for Enhanced Resilience in Mountain Areas

SPOKE VS1 - Water

Description and Objectives

The APPARE project has the following objectives:

  • the refinement of procedures for reconstructing peak flows (including the assessment of estimation uncertainty) based on the recording of event traces;
  • collecting new flow data using the above-mentioned procedure in small mountain and hill basins affected by flash floods, together with documentation of geomorphic effects for an in-depth understanding of the event
  • transferring know-how and disseminating the results of the project
