Description and objectives

Identifying the relationship between urban fabric structure and urban heat islands taking a multi-scale approach and focusing on contribute of green infrastructure.

On the area of interest, the plain of the city of Bari, two different scale modelings are used.

In 4 areas with a side of 600m-1km, a high spatial resolution (2-10m) ENVI-met model over short time windows of while the overall is implemented.Over a 100m grid that cover the entire region a AI approach predictor from land surface temperature measure from remote sensing.

This two approaches are used to implement estimation of urban heat island in the present situation and under climatic scenario. For the high resolution model also urban scenario will be implemented.
