On July 12, the event “SoS Climate – the Return,” organized by the Sestri Città Aperta Association, took place in the striking setting of the former Convent of the Annunziata in Sestri Levante.

This free and open-to-all initiative focused on raising awareness and promoting dialogue around coastal and marine risks, which are becoming increasingly urgent due to the visible impacts of climate change.

Throughout the day, attendees engaged in talks, expert panels, and interactive discussions, delving into key challenges such as erosion, flooding, land subsidence, and other threats facing Italy’s coastline. The aim was to explore how to identify, evaluate, and respond to these hazards in order to reduce risk and build greater resilience for the future.
