A dialogue between theSciences and the Humanities on geological risk and disaster.
Part of the P.R.I.S.M.A. Project, the conference explores and acknowledge how languages, arts, and disciplines can help us understand and represent disaster, resilience, and collective memory.
Three keynote lectures, meetings with writers and artists, and six thematic sessions – Gaia, Prometheus, Mnemosyne, Typhon, Atlas, Hephaestus – will investigate the relationship between nature, culture, and catastrophe.
During the conference, the digital atlas L.A.V.A. – Literary Atlas of Volcanic and seismic Activities will be presented.
Organized by the Department of Philology, Literatures and Linguistics, University of Pisa, within the framework of the P.R.I.S.M.A. Project, winner of the Return call for Spoke 3-VS3 “Earthquakes and Volcanoes”, coordinated by Professor Biancamaria Rizzardi.
