Ocenography Unveiled: In Trieste the seminar cycle and the summer school
May 8 - May 9
Oceanography Unveiled is a three-year program organized by OGS, the National Institute of Oceanography and Experimental Geophysics, which annually offers a series of high-level seminars and summer schools with the aim of increasing the interest of the Italian community in physical oceanography and its relationship with the planet and human health.
One of the main objectives is also to foster the growth of the next generation of Italian oceanographers through regular high-quality events, which can serve both as academic opportunities and as a useful tool to spread a “community spirit” among the participants. Emphasis is also placed on process studies and on the theoretical and quantitative aspects of the field.
The Ocean and Climate seminar series intends to contribute to the dissemination, education and technology transfer of the Italian PNRR project RETURN – Multi-Risk sciEnce for resilienT communities underR a changiNg climate, with particular reference to Spoke 1, 4, 8 (pollution, climate, environmental degradation).
The workshops also represent a contribution to the Ocean Decade and are sponsored by the TQLS quantitative sustainability laboratory.
