The XXVIII National Conference of Geotechnics (CNG) will be held from 11 to 13 June 2025, at the congress centre on the island of San Servolo in Venice.
The Conference, organised by the Italian Geotechnical Association (AGI), will focus on the issues of safety, maintenance and development of infrastructures, crucial topics for the sustainability and development of the country.
On the afternoon of 12 June, the Special Session RETURN will be presented, which will give space to significant scientific presentations on the themes of the Partnership, divided into two main groups:
1. Basin-scale studies, oriented to the development of predictive tools for territorial information systems.
2. Physical-mathematical models, focused on the impact of instability mechanisms on strategic infrastructures.
This session will be chaired by the Spoke Leaders of Spokes VS2 (Terrain Instability) and TS2 (Multi-Risk Resilience of Critical Infrastructures). The initiative includes the presentation and discussion of 12 selected papers, preceded by an opening speech by the Scientific Coordination of the RETURN Partnership.
