Oceanography Unveiled Seminars: The Role of the Atmosphere and Ocean in the Climate System

The fifth and final event of the “Oceanography Unveiled” seminars will take place on June 17 and 18, focusing on the role of the atmosphere and the ocean in the Climate System.

The Oceanography Unveiled workshops were initially launched in 2024 by OGS and CNR-ISMAR. The project was also joined by the University of Naples Parthenope, the University of Rome La Sapienza, the University of Salento, the University of Venice Ca’ Foscari , and the la Stazione Zoologica Anton Dohrn (SZN), involving a large part of the Italian oceanographic community.
The seminar cycle is also part of the dissemination, education and technology transfer initiatives of the PNRR RETURN – Multi-Risk sciEnce for resilienT communities underR a changiNg climate, with particular reference to Spoke 1, 4, 8 (pollution, climate, environmental degradation); they also represent a contribution to the Ocean Decade and are sponsored by the quantitative sustainability laboratory TQLS.
